Often as Christians we sometimes cannot really perceive the violence that goes on around about us. We certainly do not place ourselves above it, but most Christians are shrouded in the love of fellow Christians and it acts as buffer for when violence does strike. Perhaps this is the one big difference that separates the pain from the Christians and non Christians. It does not mean that the pain is any less, but the faith that the Christian possesses allows them to be enveloped in an element of comfort. To a Christian, this faith allows the invisible but very present arms of God to hold them during their time of grief.

When tragedy strikes the question that reaches the roof tops, is Why? Why did this happen and why did God let this happen. The reality of it is, God didn’t let this happen, we as a people did. The sad part is the more we strayed from God the more we opened ourselves up to these senseless killings and crime, and all the other atrocities that are ongoing in this world of ours.
A prime example of this is shown in this excerpt on the latest senseless waste of life…
“Christian school shooting suspect hunting for absent administrator
OAKLAND, CALIF.—A former student opened fire at random, killing at least seven people at the small Christian university, when he learned the female administrator he was looking for was not there, police said Tuesday.
Former student arrested in Christian school shooting
Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan told a news conference that the South Korean-born One L. Goh went to the California school with “the intent of locating an administrator. He then went through the entire building systematically and randomly shooting victims.”

“We do know that he was upset at administrators at the school. We do know that he was upset with several students here because of the way he was treated when he was enrolled here two months ago,” Jordan said.
He said Goh had been teased, but he did not elaborate. The 43-year-old South Korean national had been expelled, possibly for behavioural problems, according to Jordan.
“We’ve learned that this was a very chaotic, calculated and determined gentleman that came there with a very specific intent to kill people, and that’s what his motive was and that’s what he carried out,” Jordan told the TV show “Good Morning America.”
Those connected to the school, including the founder and several students, described the 43-year-old gunman as a former nursing student. The chief said Goh is a South Korean national.
Five died at the scene and another two died at the hospital. The wounded victims were in stable condition, and at least one person had been released from the hospital. Jordan told “Good Morning America” the victims ranged in age from 21 to 40…continue reading…
Summary:
So the question at the top of this article was….was God looking when this Christian shooting took place? The answer is Oh yes, and no doubt with sadness and anguish beyond what any of can possibly imagine, because what he witnessed was the taking of the life he had given to several of the slain victims, and the destruction of life of the shooter…did he equally mourn both sides of this tragedy? Yes he did for they are all his children, but perhaps the shooter more than the others. For you see those that were slain are now in his presence but the one truly lost is the shooter himself.

As Christians we are not exempt to pain and hurt caused from the loss of a spouse either through death or a break up. We are human and although as Christians we have God to lean on he often works through many different resources. The book, We to Me: Embracing Life Again After the Death or Divorce of a Spousee, could most certainly be one of those resources. Something else as Christians that we are not suppose to do is dwell in pity, God expects us to help ourselves, and what we can’t do, he will do for us.
Getting this book, We to Me: Embracing Life Again After the Death or Divorce of a Spouse, will be a step in the right direction of you trying to get your feet back on the ground and putting yourself back in control of your life. You will find that the advice it offers to be most valuable and it is authored by people who have the education, knowledge and sound beliefs to point anyone in this situation in the right direction.

A loss is a loss no matter whether it is from death or divorce. It may seem a little easier in divorce if the love is gone as opposed to losing someone through death, but this is not the case. Any loss is devastating and it means re-adjusting to be on one’s own which can be a real struggle. As partners we automatically become dependent on each other, and it’s a hard pattern to break when a spouse is suddenly no longer in your life.

Be sure to give We to Me: Embracing Life Again After the Death or Divorce of a Spouse,a chance to help you along the restoration and rebuilding of your life. If it is a divorce that you are coming through be sure to visit endingrelationshipadvice.com for some additional resources and help.

Being a christian is something that one has to pay attention to everyday and realize that they are not perfect. If one could get into heaven with good deeds then it would mean that Christ would not have had to die for us. What it means is being willing to let God take control. That doesn’t mean he will turn us into robots, but what it means is he will give us a better understanding of right and wrong and give us the resources to make the right decisions. Without these resources it is impossible to do what is right all the time. We are faced with too much evil, bad adversaries and temptations.

Often what prevents people from making the decision to hand their life over to God is because they feel they can never measure up, they are not good enough. Well yes its true nobody is good enough, but that is what being saved by grace is all about. Its a matter of his forgiving us of our wrongdoings. Don’t think that as a christian that you won’t fall on your face from time to time, or have your own fair share of sins, because you will. The big difference is though that the Almighty is there to pick you up when you fall and dry your tears when you mess up. Without him there is nothing, but with him there is everything.

Of course the number one book that must become your source of strength and guidance will be your Bible. You may be a little apprehensive about this because you may have tried to read it in the past and found you simply could hardly understand of word of it. Now that you have turned your life over to Christ you will find that it is like your eyes have become opened to all that it contains. This goes with …I was blind now I see. There is a whole new world for you to discover and it all begins here with the true word.

Now don’t be surprised if you start to get these little doubts. For example how can you rely on a book that is centuries old to live your life by now? First of all can you account for any other book that has survived intact such as the Holy Bible has? Also ask yourself this…if someone told you that 10 things were going to happen and 7 of those did would you assume that the next three would also? Well that is the credibility that the Bible has. Everything that it has said would come to pass has done so, and you can be sure those that have not as yet but have been spoken about will also materialize.

If you find that the original version of the Bible a little difficult to read then certainly purchase one of the modernized versions but always keep your original to refer to if you question something in the modern day translation.
